I will spend time gathering information about them and then craft an appropriate ceremony which I will deliver for you. We will spend time talking about the deceased, their likes and dislikes, their history, their childhood, their loves, the funny little things that remind you of them, memories that make you smile. Anything and everything. Not everything will make it into the service but all those anecdotes will enable me to paint a picture of the life that has now ended.
We will construct the ceremony that you feel is best for them. You can include whatever music and readings or poems you would like. You decide who will deliver the various elements or whether you would like me to lead the whole thing. It is always your decision.
Every ceremony will be different and written just for you.
Together we will plan and deliver a dignified farewell to your loved one.
I can also offer a service where you can plan your own send-off. It’s not morbid in the least, just a chance to make your goodbye particularly personal.
Talk to me“I can't thank Kate enough for leading my family and I through the burial of our father. Of course we had no experience of how to bury him and how to say goodbye. Kate listened patiently as we talked about our father, we laughed and cried and she asked questions gently giving us all the time we needed to speak of him. Our father's burial was quite unique, we didn't have a eulogy. As all the people there were family it didn't seem necessary, so Kate beautifully read out one of his poems which we discovered after he had passed on. Kate helped us in every way to make Dad's woodland burial the kind of gathering he would of wanted.
I think one of the best things about having a celebrant conduct my father's burial was that it was conducted exactly how we wanted it to be for him.”
